Officials fell into the Lokayukta power trap while returning the bribe money they received
While not being caught while accepting bribes, officials have fallen into the trap of Lokayukta police while returning the bribe money.
KAS officer in the post of KIADB Special Land Acquisition Officer-2 A.B. Vijayakumar and his office surveyor Raghunath were arrested.
The Lokayukta Police have arrested the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board Special Land Acquisition Officer and Land Surveyor who took a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh to issue NOC letter stating that a person's land has not been acquired and returned the bribe money after filing a complaint.
First accused AB Vijayakumar, Special Land Acquisition Officer and second accused Raghunath, Land Surveyor. The officials had demanded a bribe of 2.50 lakhs to issue the NOC to the complainant Bhagat Singh Arun. Later he took a bribe of 2.50 lakhs and gave NOC.
In this regard, the applicant had complained to the KIADB Deputy Commissioner. Both these accused contacted the complainant and told him that if he withdraws it, he will pay Rs 2.5 lakh and an additional Rs 50,000. Lokayukta has fallen into the trap of officials while giving bribe money in this regard.
